About This Game True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 2 is the sequel to one of the best rated horror escape games, acclaimed for its story and the atmosphere of horror mystery. True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 1 is #3 on GamesRadar “The 10 best hidden object games you can play right now” list, praised for an “engrossing puzzle gameplay“ and being a “impressively scream-worthy experience”. We've built on our know-how of making a story rich horror mystery escape game to craft a better and significantly longer adventure sequel. Holly Stonehouse followed the clues from her old family house to finally arrive at the Dark Falls Asylum and again see that someone was there before her, waiting for her. However this time she is no longer a spectator and what follows her is no longer just a shadow - the danger is real as the Asylum comes alive at night. Collecting clues, going through notes and photographs, unlocking devious puzzles and constructing complex chains of adventure actions, help Holly escape the night and find the answers. Was her mother crazy or was there really another sister? Did her mother commit suicide? How could Dahlia “come back” after the fire and who or what is the terrifying thing that Holly saw at Heather's house and that kept following her ever since? The ThueFear, Part 1 was one of the best adventure games made in history. It took Goblinz 5 desperate years to produce the second version that was constantly delayed, and in the end experience was ruined. I cannot tell what I liked about this game. Everything seemed to be bad quality from graphis to music ending in cut scenes. The plot was not obvious, the game story was very engagining in part one, the second part simply fell apart. This is a perfect case of how business logic behind a potentially A+ game took it down.I will outline a few key factors that made this game a solid NO GO:1. Lack of money to produce the game (Hello Kickstarter)2. The game plot has been writtien while the development was already in progress3. Bad quality. - Objects are very pixel sensitive (i.e. you have to be pixel precise to pickup an object from your inventory) - Bad quality music, cluncky, no nice transitions when you move from room to room - Lack of scary animations (Hello Part 1) - Lame, sometimes very annoying plot that does not keep you engaged - Minigames do not have the "restart" options - Game crashes all the time - Cursor does not change - Getting to read emails in the computer is very buggy, hint button does nothing, diery is not functioning. - Why inserting real 3D scenes (may be three) into a 2D game? - Hint button is cumbersome when moving between the screens4. No bonus game5. The journal is a simply copy/paste from "Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove"6. Half of the things in the home screens like backgrounds and music are not functioning. 7. No "true fear" experience. THE GAME IS NOT SCARY. No those well known animations from part 1 that used to keep you super sense8. The endning. Oh my god. After all, there is no ending at all. The developers just ran out of time. So they ended it with TBC. Frustrated and Disappointented.Windows 10 (HP OMEN Inter I7 512G drive, 128G memory). Yes! Finally money well-spent on a game that was CLEARLY made with effort and care! Generally scary, puzzles could've been a little tougher, but it has a very good storyline. I can't wait for the third one!!. I was surprised this part didn't have any hidden object sections, but I don't feel like it's lacking anything because of that. It's a nice enough point & click adventure. Puzzles are mostly pretty easy, even on Expert difficulty. What was pretty annoying to me is that while the game automatically notes down any clues you found in your diary, they do not show directly next to a puzzle. Instead, you have to go back and forth between puzzle and diary, which, if you're doing a puzzle with several symbols that look really similar, is a pain. I ended up taking photos on my phone to have something to directly compare with the puzzle.Overall, I really enjoyed this and am looking forward to part 3!. While some of the fans are disappointed with how non-horror the second part is, this game thrills and puzzles the minds of billions of True Fear fans around the globe. Yes, I have to say that it’s the longest and the most complex (not to say perplex) game I have ever played. It is imbued with as much story as controversy.I am not talking about notoriety, I am talking about perplexity in the sense that this game strikes you from the moment you first see a tool box under a disrepaired bridge, from the moment you hear a gun shot in the air, from the moment you see a red shawl flying above your head to the moment you realize that the exact same tool box, the same gun, shawl or any item you possess in your inventory are the same things that you have witnessed in the beginning of the game while being used by somebody that is a few hours ahead of you. And you know what. Exactly. It’s actually YOU. No, I’m not wrong. You read that correctly. This game, apart from its predecessor, deals with time paradoxes, time shifting, time controversy, even shape shifting, perplexing timing, puzzling history (an asylum history to be precise), and everything that blows up your mind. There are a few scares here or there; however, the main thing is that this game twitches your mind. I don’t know if this was meant by Dimmie himself or by the other developers, but this game is awesome!I recommended it, although, some of the fans are unhappy the way it turned out. Don’t let their experience ruin your expectations. If you’ll be attentive enough, you might come up with your own theory which I am willing to hear. Moving back to this review, True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 2 is as magnificent as its predecessor because of its outstanding graphics, storyline and puzzles. This game as also a hidden timer! During the first half an hour within the game, the sun will eventually set, leaving you stranded in the Administration building all alone in the dark.About the music. The developers promised to fix the music during this month of November while releasing the Mac and iOS version altogether with the French and German translations. Unlike its predecessor, the game’s Bonus Chapter is in the making. However, the fans are excited with the uploaded images that the developers is gladly sharing with their fans on Facebook. I hope to play it as soon as possible and I wish the devs all the best! This game has been nominated for “The Best Alternate History” Award on Steam.. Holly Stonehouse is lonely, her last single friend has married and Holly feels her chance for real love has past her by.Her friends decide she needs a man in her life and send her on a vacation to Dark Falls asylum looking for the love of her life. This is where the fun and hilarity ensues From the director that brought you "sleepless in a coffin" and the box office hit "the funeral planner"Comes the must see romantic comedy of the summer!Critics say- "you'll die laughing.." rolling bones"It's Harry met Sally but Harry's a decomposing corpse that shows Sally how to love, live and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ finally"... Roger Eboo"If only real life was this romantic and obese people loved like this.."Movie Bob. A point-and-click adventure game with horror elements that sends you to an insane asylum to find out what is wrong with your family. The Good:A HOG that doesn't have bad or meh voice acting, but good voice acting. The game is long, especially for a HOG. Apparently the devs decided to merge content that was originally going to be extra (and there's more to come!)Horror elements. The story doesn't seem like an afterthought or that it's there just for the sake of being there. The Neutral:If you are a completionist, there are a couple of achievements that require you to complete Part 1. However, if you play Part 2 and skip Part 1, you're cheating yourself. Both games are worth the money.Initially the game had several issues, but the devs fixed them and I was able to get 100% completion in the game.Unlike Part 1, there aren't any hidden object scenes in the game. Personally, I don't feel this is to the game's detriment. The Bad:I encountered an issue where I could no longer access my inventory or interact with scenes. Restarting the game did fix this, so nothing gamebreaking and it only happened once. There are a couple of scenes that could use more sound effects.Pro Tips:The devs actually listen and fix issues in the game, so share issues on the forums. The game has a good community that is willing to help out if you're stuck or have some sort of issue. After completing the game, it's obvious why it took the devs a while to finish this entry in the series. Part 2 was a greater effort compared to Part 1 (which is already a well-made game). This series definitely stands out, and I look forward to additional content and Part 3.. I was so excited for this game as I LOVED Part 1 which was a masterpiece; amazing tense atmosphere throughout the game, great graphics and cutscenes, incredibly intriguing storyline which was easy to follow and left me begging for the next part and a conclusion to the mystery. However, I was so so SO disappointed. I can not believe the developers had five years to work on this and this is what they came up with. I really wanted to love this game, I tried so hard to love it but I just couldn't. This game is a mess of epic proportions; let's start with the storyline, or rather the lack thereof. The game starts off good, but as soon as Act 2 begins it all goes downhill very quickly. You find notes with information that makes no sense and you think that maybe it will start making sense as you progress in the game; nope. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever; way too many characters are introduced without any proper backstory to them so you have no idea who or what they are and what role they play(ed), the information is given to you in small pieces at a time and does not follow a logical sequence, meaning that you can discover a note and THEN discover another note a couple hours later which gave backstory to the first note. It is extremely confusing and frustrating and leaves you wondering whether you are stupid or something as you don't understand what is going on. I had to go back several times and proof-read the diary to check if I missed something, but I hadn't. It was just the story that had massive plotholes and I was never given the "aha"-moment as to what was happening and what the story was about. On to the graphics and atmosphere; I can't lie, some of the artwork is beautiful, but the rest of the graphics is rough on the eyes and gives me the impression of a rushed patchwork. The atmosphere from Part 1 is completely gone; you are just trodding along, trying to piece together a puzzle that lacks so many important parts. The "scary" asylum is a joke; there are some hospital beds trown over, a couple blood stains here and there and papers strewn about the place. The jump scares are cheap and predictable, none of the tense feeling that someone is watching you that was so prevalent in Part 1 is there. There is no smooth transitioning from one room to the next, the music is raggedy and you often have to click several times on an object to choose it. What little atmosphere the game acquired in Act 1 is completely and utterly destroyed by the sheer amount of grammar mistakes. There were so many times I couldn't understand what a note was trying to say, which also had a massive negative effect on the story as the information contained within didn't make any sense. It was painfully obvious it was a rushed job and after waiting for five years, I was not happy. In conclusion, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. It is absolutely not worth the price or the effort, you will just end up frustrated and angry because what once was a great game has turned into something completely different. There is no conclusion and you are left more confused after playing the game than you were before starting it. Rather than answer all the questions you may have, the game only serves to add even more confusing elements that didn't even need to be there. I'm not even sure if I care to find out what happens in Part 3 and I honestly can't see how anyone can recommend this game after playing Part 1. I played on Casual and I struggled to finish the game as I was so frustrated and sick of the mess this "game" is.
