After 250 Hrs i can say... This is the most amazing, immersive and addictive sim out there.The devs are always posting updates, fixing bugs and paying attention to what the community has to say.Campaign can be a little more "complex".MP is where this sim truly shines.. Played in VR with HOTAS for an hour. Amazing and beautiful! You may have to play with key mapping for 10 minutes or so but after you'll be golden! I have played quite a few flight simulators but majority of them are centered around modern day aircraft. This is very refreshing. I've never had to deal with the pull to the left on T\/O. Ground looped the first attempt but successfully took to the skies the second attempt. If you have played DCS or any other in depth simulator you will be just fine! I look forward to putting some hours in.. The game is from what I hear outstanding. It does run well in GR on the Htc Vive . HOWEVER. I can't be near my keyboard when inplay and for whatever reason my tflight 4 HOTAS doesn't work in the menus so can't navigate anything,meaning I haven't been able to actually play it much yet. I simply do not understand why a vr enabled flight sim would not allow for a HOTAS to control the menu interactions, I think this is the only flight sim currently that lacks this.. Pros:- Amazingly realistic WW2 fighter sim.- VR support is good (tip: press numpad 5 to center the head position)- Good luck not screaming "F**** YEAH" when you get those sweet deflection kills and seeing the enemy plane collapse in front of youCons:- Even with good hardware, its hard to get good graphics + FPS, specially with VR.- DLCs are very expensive.. I find this game boring. The game looks to be a great combat flight simulator on paper, but my experience actually playing it says otherwise:- Start the game, ALT-TAB to check the time. Game crashes. - 10 minutes of troubleshooting tells me that ALT-TAB can do this on some setups.- Restart, no ALT-TAB this time. Game loads to about 90%, freezes. ALT-TAB to escape, computer freezes.- 10 more minutes and I learn I should run as administrator.- Restart, no ALT-TAB, run as admin. Game loads to the main menu and asks me to log in to my IL-2 online account ("great," I think to myself, "it's one of THOSE games..."). Eventually I'm informed that the game can't connect to the master server. I try to ALT-TAB to see if I can fix this, but - you guessed it! - crash.- 10 minutes later and I've disabled NVIDIA Control Panel.- Restart, no ALT-TAB, run as admin, no NVIDIA. Finally we're in! Go to the settings to configure my joystick...aaand it won't detect my rudder. Wary to not ALT-TAB, I instead just close the game.- After a little while more of troubleshooting, I give up and decide to try the game without a rudder for now.- Restart, everything goes smoothly, we're finally into the game itself. I try a 1v1 Ace fight right off the bat. After a few moments of shaky, somewhat laggy flight, it turns out my deadzone isn't high enough, so I go into the settings. As soon as I hit "settings"...the game freezes. In desperation, I try to ALT-TAB, but as usual this just freezes everything.- 10 minutes later, I've requested a refund.Looks like a great game, but there are just waaay more problems than I'm willing to spend 10 minutes a pop troubleshooting..
